FOR TANTRA PRACTITIONERS

You know how to open a body. This is what’s next.

Tantra massage. Tantra therapy. Ritual, breath, touch, presence. Arousal as the doorway - and you know how to walk someone through it.

Where your current work reaches its edge

And still - something in the work has started to feel thin.

Perhaps you trained in one lineage. Perhaps you have gathered your own over the years. Perhaps you have been doing this long enough that people come to you by name.

You have taken people into states they could not reach alone. You have felt armour soften under your hands. That part is not in question.

Not thin because your skill has thinned. Because you have reached the ceiling of what pleasure alone can carry.

You still believe the body is the doorway. That has not changed, and it is not going to.

What has changed is that working with pleasure and life force alone has started to feel… not quite in integrity. Not wrong. Just no longer the whole truth of what you know is possible in a room.

You are not looking to leave somatic work. You are looking for somewhere deeper to take it.

You know this moment

The session is going well.

The body has opened, the breath is moving, pleasure is flowing. And then you feel it underneath. A holding that has nothing to do with arousal.

They are right at the threshold of it. And there is nothing in your hands that will take them through.

So you stay with what you know. You deepen the pleasure, you hold the space, the session completes. It was good. They leave grateful.

Afterwards it is still with you:

What was that – and why could I not meet it?

That is not a gap in your confidence. What you were trained to do is built to open, to amplify, to take someone further into a state – and that is real skill. What you felt underneath is asking for something else: the capacity to perceive the pattern that is holding, and to work with it directly.

And there is a reason you meet it as often as you do. Unresolved conditioning often shows up sexually – which means the work you already do brings people to the exact place where it lives.

So what widens in this training is not how intense a process you can run. It is what you are able to read, and what you can do once you have read it.

What was that and why could I not meet it?

The question that usually comes next

Does this mean leaving behind what I have built?

No. Nothing gets taken away.

Dearmouring does not replace the work you already do. It goes underneath it.

The ritual, the touch, the capacity to hold someone in a state most people never reach – all of it stays exactly as it is.

You don’t trade in your craft - you expand it.

We work where talking alone cannot reach

What you add is the layer below.

Dearmouring does not replace the work you already do. It goes underneath it.

The ritual, the touch, the capacity to hold someone in a state most people never reach - all of it stays exactly as it is. You don't trade in your craft - you expand it.

What you add is the layer below. The body is one expression of armour, not the whole story. It also sits in the nervous system, in the emotions, in beliefs and perception, in conditioning and behaviour, in how someone relates, in their sexuality, and in how they live their life. It developed to survive, cope, adapt and belong.

These are not separate specialisms to be treated one at a time. Move armour in one of them and the others move with it - which is why what changes is not how a body feels for an afternoon. It is identity-level change.

It is also why none of this is a protocol.

The method is never more important than the human being. The person always comes first. The person always comes first

And none of it happens on command. The body and the whole being don’t let go because they’re told to. They let go when enough safety is experienced – something you already know from your own work.

And sexuality is not the part that gets left behind. It is where this work goes most directly.

“If we don’t work with our sexuality directly, we will never come home to ourselves as whole human beings.” Susanna Beatrice

What changes is the frame around it. Pleasure stops being the thing you are producing and becomes what follows on its own: you reconnect someone to their own aliveness, and pleasure is an outcome of the work rather than the technique that has to generate it.

You read what is actually in front of you.

Hypo-arousal and hyper-arousal stop looking alike. You see where someone overrides their own boundary, where they fawn, where they quietly leave their body - and you have something to do about it.

You can meet what comes up, not only what opens.

Anger, grief, fear, pleasure - honestly, in them and in yourself. Emotional expression guided safely, without overwhelm and without bypass.

You take people past the place where they used to plateau.

The pleasure was never the ceiling. Having only one lane was - and the work you are already good at goes further because of it.

You work with the pattern underneath, not only the state on top.

That is why the change is still there a month later, and why it shows up outside the room: stronger boundaries, more honest communication, a steadier capacity for intimacy, a different relationship to their own sexuality. Not a better session. A different life around it.

You meet the person in front of you, not the protocol.

The art of Dearmouring is learning how to perceive the unique human being in front of you and discovering what supports this person - not what worked for someone else. Conscious touch, where appropriate, is one language in that. Presence, breath, deep listening and what is said afterwards are others. You recognise what is happening across the body, the nervous system, the emotions, behaviour and how someone relates, and you respond to what this person needs in this moment rather than running the session you know. That is what the word Arts is doing in the name.

And the work becomes yours again.

This is not only about what your clients walk away with. Practitioners describe feeling more alive in their own practice, and trusting their intuition again - not because they learned to trust it, but because they finally have the range to follow it.

What changes in your sessions

What changes in the room.

The empowerment point

There is one more thing, and for many practitioners it is the reason they come.

A powerful session gives someone a powerful experience. That experience is real and it can change a life – you have watched it happen.

But an experience is something a person receives. And the more profound it is, the easier it becomes for them to come back for you rather than for themselves.

That is not a flaw in the work, and it is not particular to tantra. It is what happens whenever something powerful is given rather than found.

Dearmouring moves the centre of gravity. They learn their own capacity from the inside: what their body holds, where it lets go, what they can do with it when you are not in the room.

Which, in the end, opens the gates to pleasure wider than any session you could give them.

Dearmouring is ultimately a way of life.

It is what makes this work different. Not a technique you add to a session, but a way of relating to yourself, to the people in front of you, and to what the two of you are willing to meet. It becomes true for you before it becomes true for them – you can only take others as deep as you have gone yourself.

Less defended means more present. More authentic. More able to communicate honestly, more capable of intimacy, more able to meet conflict without collapsing or attacking. Protection becomes authenticity – in them, and in you.

You are not leaving your craft behind. You are giving it somewhere deeper to go.

Impression from a Dearmouring Arts training
Amongst the dozens of trainings and certifications I’ve experienced around the world over the last 30 years, this was one of the most powerful. The facilitation exemplified what they are teaching, moment by moment.
